I'm trying to get as much done at work as I can before Kay and I leave for California. Which means I'm getting pretty burnt out on it. I think I'll get a majority of it done before I leave.
We're leaving soon. Meaning 4 days and I'm already getting nervous about flying. If my time off wasn't so limited, I'd be tempted to drive. Hopefully my excitement over how much fun Comic Con is going to be will overpower the fear.
Nikki's wedding was last weekend. It was fun and she was so beautiful!
That's all I've been up to lately. I think the very reason for my sporatic updates is because my life is just that boring. Summed up in 3 paragraphs.

Although you cannot necessarily see them, I have made substantial updates to the site. Most of them are making navigation of the admin better and more functional for me. There is one front end adjustment I made, and that was adding a anti spam function to the site. Whenever you go to add a comment you will now be asked to solve a simple math problem.
When I am finished with all of the back end edits, I will be installing my blogging 'software' for Nikki on her site I have set up for her. I hope she likes it.
I was finally able to add these because I have been off work since Wednesday and that has certainly refreshed my brain. While I was off of work, I had Korina, Nikki, and Kevin here keeping me company and playing the crap out of my new game Left 4 Dead.
I will be heading back to work tomorrow. Boo-urns.

My Dad is back in the hospital. It appears as though they removed his "pipe" that he used to inject antibiotics too early. He went back yesterday to have them put it back in and they decided to keep him. I'm waiting for my sister to call me back and let me know exactly how bad he's gotten and how long they will be keeping him. I really wish he would get better. Every time I see him it breaks my heart because he is in so much pain.
On a lighter note, work has been extremely busy for the last two weeks and that has really helped pass the time. We are getting paid three times in October so that will hopefully help a lot with the wedding plans.
I will be getting ready to send out the invitations around the end of December. My sister is coming up here at the end of September for a wedding show and hopefully then I will pick out my photographer, my florist, and DJ. Then I will be nearly done. (Thank God) Then it's off to find me a dress and go with my bridesmaids to pick out theirs.
I think I'm going to give them the option to pick whatever dress they like as long it is in the same hues of purple.
I feel like the only girl that does not want to plan her wedding. I haven't been planning this since I was little and I have no clue what I want. I know if I didn't have a ceremony/reception and just eloped I would regret it later. I'll just be happy when it is finally done and I am enjoying spending time with my friends, family, and new husband at the reception.

For the last week it has been incredibly difficult for me to put into words everything I was feeling. The stress and grief was too consuming and sometimes I would cry for hours on end with absolutely no prompting what-so-ever. I've exploded in anger at family, friends, and Dustin. While I know that none of you has anything to do with what is happening, it often becomes difficult to keep everything in check when I cannot think straight.
I am writing now because the relief and joy I feel inspired me to make a indirect public apology to anyone who has had to come into contact with my bi-polar mind lately.
The specifics is that he was in the Ottumwa hospital for 4 days and they had no idea what was wrong. Even going as far as to tell my Grandpa and my Dad that there was nothing else they could do. My Grandparents then proceeded to lose it on the "doctors". Telling them to get his paperwork ready because they were taking him NOW and thank God they did this because I would hate to know where we would be in another week.
They took him directly to Iowa City late Monday night. Just TWO days of being there they had figured out that he had viral meningitis and have been treating him since.
I first went to visit him on Tuesday afternoon as soon as my sister told me he was there. He was incoherent on morphine and in horrible pain. I went again on Saturday and he was smiling and joking with me. Before I left he asked me for a hug. It's been incredibly hard for me to be affectionate with my Dad in the aftermath of my parent's divorce. The way he hugged me and looked incredibly sad while I was leaving almost broke my heart. I started cursing myself for wasting almost 7 years with petty anger.
I called him on the phone today and we talked for a hour. It was the best talk I've had with my Dad ever. The first time we could talk about anything and it didn't quickly turn to a fight. He sounded happy and was so sweet to me. The weight on my chest immediately lifted and I felt better than I had before this horrible week had started. I told him that I needed to visit more often and he immediately told me that he was going to visit me more often as well.
One step closer to getting the Dad I remember back. :)

It is beautiful outside. An amazing 55 degrees and climbing.
Sure, there have been a couple beautiful days back in March so why do I choose to point out today? Because yesterday there was 2 inches of snow outside my home when I returned from work. As I mumbled and grumbled about it for hours I'm sure that I drove anyone who had contact with me insane. Was it their fault? No. Who else am I supposed to vent to? Should I simply run out into the middle of my yard and shout at the sky the in justice I feel (and everyone else in Iowa I'm sure) that we have had 5 consecutive months of snow? It's becoming this horrible, prolonged joke. Granted, I don't want spring/summer storm season to come either, but can't I just enjoy what is supposed to be a lovely calm before the literal storm?
May in Iowa is notorious for horrible storms and generally scaring me every day with the threat of a tornado touching down and sucking everyone and everything I know into the abyss. Tornados. Bleh. This kind of weather is foremost in my mind because while we have been repeatedly buried under snow storms, states south of us have been battered and leveled by violent thunder storms and tornados. Mother nature is angry with us people.
It really preplexes me as to why people still think that global warming is a hoax. I could just scream. Why would anyone lie about that? And now here is the proof! Everywhere, just open your eyes.

Yes, yes. I missed my post yesterday. With good reason! I was quite busy and also quite grumpy. I have successfully ruined two nights in a row for poor, poor Dustin. I feel that I have started to move past the grumpy stage to the, sickness stage. I want to blame the head splitting ache at the base of my skull on lack of Pepsi and not me catching the sinus infection/cold that is floating around the office.
I made a pre-work trip to the local Fareway and purcahsed some Zicam just in case. Here's hoping.
Today's post is going to be short, I just cannot think anymore.

Well it is now day 2. Last night, Dustin and I went out to eat at Plaza Mexico because it was grocery night, and that is our ritual. I drank 2 glasses of water, but I also ordered a glass of Pepsi. I'm not sure if it was out of habit, or because I was sure that I would want it there if I broke. Which I did, but I only drank 1/2 of the glass (it was 3/4 full of ice as well) and then got it away from me. I did end up feeling a little ill after I drank it, but not nearly as bad as I had felt this weekend.
I am currently sipping some Sprite, which as you know is caffeine free. I needed a fizzy drink and some sugar to coast me through the remaining work day.
I am feeling a slight headache and I think it may be because I have cut back the amount of caffeine I am consuming. I am also feeling chest/stomach pains, but these are new and may be tied to heartburn or the tacos I had for supper plus the ones I had at lunch.
I have not taken any Excedrin today. I will only take that if I need it. And by need it I mean NEED it, because I don't want to get addicted to that as well.
I think I will weigh myself tonight and then record how much weight I am losing.
On a side note: it is absolutely beautiful outside and I want go lay in the sun. It has felt so nice the two times I have ventured outside today. When I get home tonight I think I will spend some time out on our porch or shoveling our side driveway out from under whatever traces of snow that may be left on it.

Day 1 of what you ask? Well hopefully day 1 of my path to completely giving up caffeine. I have decided I need to do this because for some time now I have experienced flu like symptoms for a couple hours after I consume just a couple sips of soda. Yesterday I was in such pain I only had a total of 1/2 a can of Pepsi. If you know me rather well, then you know that is quite a bit less than normal. Especially on a weekend.
This morning before I left for work I loaded up on water and Excedrin Extra Strength. I am aware that Excedrin has caffeine in it, but it is a smaller dose (65mg per tablet) than I was getting daily with at least 3 cans of soda (114mg), if I can keep it to 1 tablet a day.
I am using Excedrin rather than chosing to drink less and less soda every day since I am worried as to why I am actually getting sick. I consume extreme amounts of sugar daily, in addition to my soda intake, and I fear that I am going to develop diabetes. It runs in my family and my poor diet coupled with being overweight only increases my chances yearly of developing it.
I will only be taking enough Excedrine to keep the most painful symptoms of withdrawl at bay. I will be scaling back to 1/2 a tablet of Excedrine in a week or so and then none after that.
I am writing this so that I can look back and realize why I need to do this and keep going. Even when I get 2-3 days in and feel extremely ill. Everything will get better.
Reasons to keep going:
Reduced anxiety
Weight loss
More energy
Greater ability to concentrate
Better for my teeth, bones, and heart
Decreased shortness of temper
Did I mention weight loss?!

This winter has been a massive pain in the butt. After starting snowing in November we are now 4 months in and it is still snowing. I guess today is especially annoying since it was so beautiful outside yesterday. It was 63 degrees. 63!
I realize that spring is only 1 month away but it doesn't feel like it is coming soon enough.

While doing this wonderful site redesign, I just noticed that I only made 1 post in 2007. According to my yearly archives, the most posts I have done in one year is 62. I'm going to try to beat that amount this year. Let's hope.
Since the last post in April of '07, I have moved back to Des Moines. While here I finished IHCC, found a job, and purchased a house. We've been living in it for several months.
My job title is Website Assistant and I love it. I've been here about 8 months.

I just figured out that the new Family Guy game came out yesterday so I ordered it since no where in town had a copy of it for PSP.
This last weekend I went to Worlds of Fun with Dustin, his mom, her foster child (Caleb), Nikki, K, & Dale. I had a lot of fun until the haunted house then I was just scared.
Next week is my 23rd birthday and I got 4 sets of concert tickets out of it. Holy cow! I've got:

My Aunt Ruth died 2 days ago and I have her visitation tonight. It really sucks because she was one of the few people who talked to me at the family get togethers. Plus she is one of the few that has actually visited our relatives in Sweden and knew a bunch of the prayers she always said before we ate.

It's my favorite time of the year again, finals. Since my classes are online I don't have to take a final test in my classes, but everything is due on Wednesday. Let me tell you, am I ever behind. I've got a bunch of assignments that aren't finished. That is what I've been doing for the past week, weekend, and today. Will I finish it all? Probably not.
I figured since I'm taking a break that I could at least update my site since it's been another complete month. What has happened to me in the past month? Nothing much.
I'm still not even completely moved out of the apartment. D and I are still together and only an hour and a half apart. I see him on weekends that we don't have anything going on.
My sister had her baby on the 3rd. His name is Tyler John and he hates bath time(which just happened).
My project next week is to locate a job since I don't have fall classes until the 28th. My Aunt might be getting me a job at the blood clinic where she works. I would only have to work from 5:00-8:00 every night for $6.00 an hour. Not much, but it's something.
The last weekend in July we went to Warped Tour. It was really hot. More later since it's time to get back to work.

It's a month later. I decided that I would post today since Nikki mentioned that it had almost been a month. Not that I have much to post about.
This weekend I'm moving back to Ottumwa. Dustin and I are still together, just taking a much needed break. Trying to sort things out. I think if this will ever work we need to start from scratch and get to know the people we are now as opposed to the people we were in high school, when we met. I guess I never really thought about how much you change when you leave high school (if you're lucky). We are two completely different people and need to find similar interests or we aren't going to last. Don't get me wrong, I love him with all my heart, it's just not working right now.
I will be taking up temporary residence in my sister's spare room in her basement. Whenever I can get settled in O-town again then I will be looking for my own place.
I don't know what will happen when I finish school. I really don't want to move back to Des Moines, but that may be my only option.

First off since I get like 5 hits a day for Silent Hill 3 walkthroughs, I should link the post in which I talk about the walkthroughs. My mother is coming up to visit me on Saturday. My sister and mother are coming up to visit me 2 Fridays from now to go shopping for baby stuff. I asked my mother what giving birth was like and her answer was this: "It's like having your insides pulled out with a potato peeler." ....OH...MY...GOD... So glad I'm not pregnant right now. That kid would be staying in there until I die. On a lighter note I think Korina is coming up either tomorrow (Tuesday) or Wednesday to go shopping. Yay! Nikki wanted me to give her something to rad, and I would. If only I knew how to accomplish something like that. (I still love you) This weekend I managed to get over to my grandparents for some much needed visitation. I went there at 9:00p.m. Friday night and was there until 11:30. I had alot of fun sitting there talking to them and being around them. My Grandma has done a complete 360 with how she talks to me. Saturday I went with my sister all over Ottumwa to try to find her some Classic Winnie the Pooh wall borders and wall stickers that she liked. She decided that she might as well come up here and go to Babies 'R Us and Lowes or Home Depot. Then I went to Pre Mother's Day dinner with my mother. Sunday we made her lunch. After she ate she went straight to the living room and fell asleep. Nobody was really surprised by this action. Then I went to Stick It with Nikki. As cheesey as it looks, I liked it. I was actually really funny. Monday I had to go to IHCC and get my books, which they only had 2/5 of them in stock anyway. Whatever. Now I've got to go back to Ottumwa and get my other books later. Then we had to take Sox to the vet at 2:00, which he proceeded to bite the syringe while they were trying to give him his de-wormer medicine. His gums started bleeding really bad and they told us that they wanted to watch him and to come back at 4:00. That may be confusing to some people that don't know they shoot pills down animals throats with a 'syringe', it doesn't actually have a needle on the end or anything. We also ate lunch with Korina, Dale, and 2 of Dale's friends. Now it's Tuesday and we are finally back in Des Moines, sleeping in our own bed.

Look, an update 2 days in a row! Maybe that is because yesterday I completely finished my Publisher class. I am SO glad I don't have to do that coursework anymore. I'm headed to Ottumwa later today. I thought I would try to finish one of my other classes before I went. I have a list of things on this site that need updated/fixed and I've vowed to myself that I would make my best attempt to finish before the weekend is over. I can't promise this list will be completed because I'm not exactly sure why my monthly archives page doesn't work. Buddy's visit to the vet yesterday was good, so far no calls saying "we found heartworms" or anything like that. We finally got his Frontline and Heartguard that I've been wanting to get. We also got a estimate on how much it would cost to neuter him (around $210). We still need to head over to City Hall to get him his license for this year. I also got some tips from the vet's nurse on how to get him to quit barking. She told me to get a can and place marbles in it, then shake it whenever he started barking. They also have citrus collars that squirt whenever they bark, but the vet was worried that they might squirt in the face and hurt the eyes. I think I'll go with the can. I want to run him over to Petco sometime and get him groomed. His hair is out of control. Example

I am avoiding Publisher coursework like the plague because I absolutely HATE that class. It's boring. I don't post blogs anymore because I really don't do anything all day. When I do manage to do something, like last weekend, I am spending too much time enjoying actually doing something with people to come here and blog about it. I went to the MtvU Campus Invasion show last Wednesday (the 19th), I had a bunch of fun. Straylight Run was absolutely amazing live. Amazing...did I mention A-M-A-Z-I-N-G? Hellogoodbye put on an equally good show, but that is to be expected. Then friday last week we went and saw Silent Hill, it wasn't really scary at all. It was full of amazing locations and monsters, if you are a fan of the game you will enjoy the subtle nods to fans from the director Christophe Gans. Seeing as how he's a fan of the series I never doubted his ability to pull it off. Critics and such are saying how hard it is to follow and how preachy it can get. Have they ever played the games? It helps. It's not like Resident Evil splatterfest where you don't need to understand the game story at all. Play the game, then review it. Jackasses. I went on Sunday with Korina and Dale to Mayhem and got one of the official Silent Hill comic books which helped explain ALOT I didn't understand from the game. The movie helped me understand a one part too. I've been spending my time reading theories on Silent Hill most of the week. I took the time to read some books this week too. 1) The Secret Garden 2) A Little Princess 3) Fahrenheit 451 All very good books I've read before but I love them so. I've got 4 books sitting on my shelf waiting for me to finish but I am in the middle of Dale's copy of The De Vinci Code. I'm going to try to finish that sometime between now and Sunday so I can get it back to him. Tuesday was my step-niece's birthday, she's the big 1-0. There is going to be her birthday party on Saturday at my sister's house. BBQ and John's family. I also need to go see my mother this weekend seeing as how I don't really visit anymore. I used to be SUCH a mommy's girl. Now I spend all my Ottumwa time with my prego big sister and my friends. Since the girls are at my sister's house this weekend I will inevitably be coaxed into playing flashlight tag, it's my own fault. Korina and I showed them how to play it the last weekend I was down there. I finally decided that I would call and get Buddy an appointment to the veterinarian. It's at 3:00 today. W-O-O... Some TBS before I go: "I'm an addict for dramatics, I confuse the 2 for love."

Today Kay turns 22. I am headed down to Ottumwa to chill out at her house and celebrate. Thus, I will be down there the whole weekend. Then Wednesday is the MTVU Campus Invasion show. That means in less than a week I will be able to see Straylight Run. I also ordered tickets to Warped Tour so that was mighty exciting, that was part of Korina's birthday present. That seems to be all we get each other anymore. "Hey it's your birthday, I got you a concert ticket!". I'm not complaining though, after all she did take me to Waking Ashland ON my birthday. I was going to attempt to take her to The Ataris if they would have been any where around here, but that didn't pan out. :( Off to Ottumwa.

Click to see why. I have been working my butt off in my online courses so I haven't had any time to update this site or fix anything that is broken. The above is my mid-term grades. Any news? No. Nothing other than what is above. I am currently working on the next set of coursework so that it is done and turned in before I head to Ottumwa Friday. There have been pretty bad storms up here, and if you know anything about me I HATE thunder storms because I FEAR tornadoes. This week there have been 2 seperate days of tornado warnings. Not in a row, spaced far enough so that I can calm down and then BOOM there is another one. We are expecting some bad storms up here tomorrow afternoon/evening again, and again Des Moines is in the Moderate area on the prediction map along with the southwest corner of the state. The rest of the state is under Likely. Moderate means that there is a good chance of hail, strong winds, and tornadoes. Likely is some hail and less damaging winds. Since I live on the top floor of an apartment I have reason to get all worked up when these storms come because the only place I have to go is the bathroom (it's in the middle of the apartment with no windows). Past that we went to the Reggie/Common Denominator/Fluxuation show and it was extremely entertaining. One of the most entertaining shows I've been to. He said he will be on Warped again this year, so everyone should go get a ticket if only just to see his show. Not to mention the many splendid and talented bands on the roster as well...including....BILLY FREAKING TALENT. Ok so it's just Billy Talent, but I am so excited.

I just finshed the block of assignments that were due the day I will get back from Chicago so now I can take a break from homework for a bit. We leave early Tuesday so we can get to our hotel by 3:00. I the concert is at 5:00. I can't believe that I am finally going to see the Deftones! The new episode of The L Word is tonight. I will be viewing it later this week with Nikki and Korina (I got them addicted to it now). It's the sad episode so we felt we needed to be together to watch it. I adore that show, the only character I don't like is Moira/Max...not a big fan. Speaking of Sunday shows Family Guy was above par tonight. Super hilarious. Quagmire rocks your socks. I am currently loading my entire cd collection onto my ipod again because it managed to re-format itself a week or so ago. So far I've got a small percentage loaded back on and a huge stack of cds. Korina is coming up here later this week, but I don't have any clue when. I don't think she does either. We're going here Saturday to play around and to see Harry Potter 4 on IMAX. Not to mention that Thursday we will also be heading to The Academy Is..., Panic! At The Disco, Acceptance, and Hellogoodbye show. :) I've made my own smilies, I just have to write the code for me to be able to use them here in my blog and so that you guys can use them in the comments. They are purple(of course). I will try to do that tomorrow when I have nothing better to do. Tomorrow I think Nikki and I are going to go see Dave Chappelle's Block Party at the theater and maybe stroll around the mall a bit.

I'm writing a blog because I haven't written a blog in a while. When I'm not working on homework I am working on this site, which is driving D insane. This weekend marks the beginning of Nikki's vacation and she's coming up here all weekend. We leave Tuesday for Chicago in which I get to see Taste of Chaos (Deftones!!!). We will then be back Wednesday night for The X-Box 360 tour the following night with Korina. Then next Saturday is the Reggie show, which is the last show for this month. There are a couple movies in the theater which I want to go see this weekend. I think I'm going to make Nikki go with me. Now, I'm going to go pick up my apartment and do some homework.

Since I haven't updated since Thursday, I thought I was due for one. I would like to say had I had access to the internet all weekend I would have updated that would have been a lie. The reason? I got to hang around with my two best friends the entire weekend I was back in Ottumwa. We even played tag with my brother-in-law. I do belive tag is much harder and vindictive when you are older. I think because when you are older you don't want to run so the tagees just sit on base while the tagger lurks around them like a vulture waiting for one to become bored or to let go to scratch or speak with their hands. Going to the bathroom is another story all in itself. On Thursday my boy actually went a bought me flowers out of the blue. If you know Dustin then you know this is completely unusual. 
I'm now going to start on the next set of assignments that are due, so till the future amigos. P.S. The proper spelling of 'vindictive' is brought to you by dictionary.com. and... There are some pages in the archives that do not work and I'm trying to figure them out.

I should be finishing my coursework that is due March 10th. I've got 3 assignments and 1 test left to complete out of 32 assignments and 4 tests. According to D I currently have a 4.0 GPA. That is saying alot for me, but since it's the first weeks of classes I'm not going to get my hopes up. I hope I can keep this momentum since my classes are only until November of this year. I found a couple older pictures on a jump drive last night, so sometime I'll upload them to my coppermine. I want to find all my pictures and get them on there so I have a semi-save place to store my digital photos. I realized today I forgot to add back some of my Dailies, and I've got a couple missing and incomplete tutorials. Seeing as how I will be in Ottumwa this weekend I will more than likely not get all this fixed soon. I will try to get as much as I can after I finish my current coursework. I've also got a couple layouts in my head, but they will take a bit of graphics work and coding before they are up so don't expect them anytime soon. Off to classes! Later.

It's the one month anniversary from when I took this site down! What better way to celebrate than with putting the site back up! I moved everything around and organized. So if you linked any images on this site they are now in a image folder. The blog is coded by myself (which is what took so long) with some logic help from D. The tutorial to do this yourself is at Code Grrl. The forum there will help you along the way, but if you can't find the answers you need I might be able to help you. I ran into a lot of coding issues so I might be able to help fix yours. It's hard to find any information over there at code grrl that will help you with the categories so I will be writing a tutorial on how I did it, it's just going to take a bit. While this site was down I severly missed the ability to blog. I guess what that means is I will update pretty consistantly until I fall into a slump again (around a month or so). I just feel that if I don't have anything interesting or informative to type then I just don't see the point in blogging. I mean, do you really want to read about me having some toast for breakfast and then working on homework? If that is what you guys want to read about I can post the same blog every day. I just want to wait until I have something relevant to say. I decided I should blog more since when I was looking at my archives there weren't very many posts in each month/year. It's crazy, I've been keeping my archives since January of 2004 (blogging longer than that, but those are lost) and I really don't have that many posts. Until next time...

Since I know that Korina and Nikki check here frequently for an update, I'm going to give one because I feel generous tonight/today and then I'm going to bed. I worked most of the day on this site (when i wasn't with my sister, John, Courtney, and Britney). I started setting up my fanlistings page. Started means that the formatting isn't working and it's not complete. Everything is almost ready to go. I've got 2 more things to fix after the fanlistings then I can put this out for everyone to see. If you find something on this blog that I haven't caught that doesn't work please tell me. Even if you think it will be annoying, it will more than likely help me find errors since I can't possibly think of everything to check. If something looks funky or odd please tell me and give me suggestions how to fix it. I'm not completely happy with how this layout has come to be so please, if you have suggestions, lay them on me.

I am taking a short break from my beloved (my PSP/Grand Theft Auto game). I thought I would rejoin the world of actual people (this idea is good for everyone to observe now and then). I have to go to Ottumwa on Tuesday, which I don't want to. I have to take my car to the machanic again to see if he can get it fixed. I took it to him on Friday and he hooked up one of his many computers to it and told me, "Well, it's not sendthing theft reports to the computer. Come back Tuesday and I'll look at it all day". Um, hello!!! I live in Des Moines, everytime I take a trip down there it's an hour and a half and about $27.00 worth of gas. I am honestly considering the fact that I might need to look into getting a different car. I guess when I get a new job I can assess how much I can budget on getting a new car. Dustin told me however much I can save he will match when I purchase my new laptop. I think I will tell him not to worry about it and tell him to put it away for him to buy himself a new car. We both need one. I can't tell who is worse off. Some days it's me because my car leaves me stranded at Target for an hour (true story), other days his car heater won't work along with other random pieces of his car. My electric locks didn't work in my car (keyless entry or actual button in car), but Dustin discovered that my fuse for that had been blown. My horn doesn't work but the fuse is a-ok.

I have to be the laziest person on the face of this earth. I put this layout up in what I believe was October and just now I'm finishing the formatting for the text and putting up the rest of the archives. I guess when I finally get that all straightened out I can work on a new winter-ish layout because Korina informed me, "It isn't fall anymore". I'm aware of that little tid-bit, I just really like autumn is all.
Since this is my first post of the New Year I guess I should include what my resolution was. Seeing as how I am a female in my 20s it's not surprising I picked the 'loose weight' resolution. For some reason this time I think I can do this. Let's all hope together. Since it is the New Year I am also on a job search. I promised Dustin I would get a job come January and stop living off him. I've found a couple potential jobs that don't require a degree. They are mostly receptionist jobs which, I think I can handle. It's quite a decent bit of cash per hour and I don't have to work all that much. It's also doing stuff I don't mind doing anyway, like typing and filing. I was also considering a management position in food service, which I think I could do with a moderate amount of training. I already had 3 years experience with food service management at The Beach. My only doubt is that I worked there 2 years before I became a manager, so i knew what I was doing. If I just jump in somewhere how am I going to answer questions?
I would love to do Web Design freelance, but I don't have the resources or people skills to get myself jobs. I guess if I worked another job for a bit I could collect enough money to pay for some advertising and such. I can always work on the 'people skills' part for free. The point of this post was supposed to warn you that things might look odd or mispositioned while I'm moving things around, so bare with me.

Ok, so I haven't updated in a while...that doesn't mean that alot has happened. Korina got into an accident which was horrible, but she's ok. That accident did cancel our 'gaming weekened' that we had planned so I went down to O-Town to see her. We also missed the From First to Last show.
The next weekend (the 10th) was the Ottumwa 5 (as nikki calls us) Christmas Party. It was fun and I got alot of good stuffs to play with.
This past weekend (the 17th) Korina came up on Thursday an chilled with me, and then we were joined by Nikki on Friday night. We finally played some Warcraft III. Then Saturday we went to the mall and then went to The Lifestyle show.

I then headed with Kay and Nikki back to O-Town to try to fix my car. My dad then told me to come back Friday and he would work on it then. I doubt he will be able to do anything so I'm going to have to go to his friend Carl who knows what he's doing.
This weekend is Christmas. Finally. I'll just be happy when it's over and everything can go back to normal.
Next weekend is New Years. I think I'm having a party up here at the apartment, but I don't really know. I don't know who is coming either. If you guys want I can always find something for us to do up here. There are a million different places we could go.
I updated my coppermine if you were wanting me to. If not don't look at it...that's right. Leave it alone...go away.

I don't exactly know what is going on with all the sites hosted on this domain but it does seem as if one by one they are breaking. Earlier today I discovered Flawless Designs was completely gone. I had to replace the entire contents of the directory. Now I've noticed that Glory-fades.net Site Portal is broken. I'm still not sure why. Wordpress seems to be missing a file or something. I'm not currently in the mood to mess with it. Perhaps someone else is willing to fix it.
As for what has happened in my life since the last time I posted: I went to the Mudvayne show and met all of Mudvayne. Not only was that awesome in itself but their set was AMAZING! I highly reccomend you attend a Mudvayne concert at least once in your life. I didn't get any pictures because I knew it would be futile to bring my digital camera into that pit.
I still haven't tagged my Fall Out Boy concert pictures yet so they are still not uploaded but I did finally get them ordered from snapfish and they arrived in the mail yesterday.
I'm in the process of reading every single Harry Potter book from 1 to 6. I am currently in the middle of book two and I am taking notes, forming theories, and going insane. With the way that woman writes everything could be taken as a hint of what is to come. I've also delved into HP theory sites pertaining to "deceased" characters.
I did have 2 paragraphs written before I realized that Nikki hasn't read the books that I was referring to so I removed the theories until she is finished and I won't ruin them for her. When she does finish boyhowdy will you have a novel to read on here about all the things I've cooked up.
Korina is coming this weekend to have one of our 'gaming weekends' we haven't had in a while.
Then Sunday is the From Frist to Last/He Is Legend/ Haste the Day/ Dead Reckless show. I am overly excited. I do believe that those bands will make up the soundtrack for this weekend's festivities.
I think we are taking a break Saturday to go see Aeon Flux. I don't think either of us could be more excited that it is finally out.
As for my custom of giving you a new little Taste of Chaos tidbit everytime I update as of recently I regret to inform you that they still haven't posted the tour dates. I expect that those will be posted either close to Christmas or on into January.
Nikki and Korina: Should I bring Scene It or Scene It Harry Potter to the party? Do you think anyone would like to play?

I somehow managed to get 2 tickets to last night's sold out Nintendo Fusion date and it was amazing. Fall Out Boy has gotten so popular. Everyone in the building was singing along to all the songs. I remember when I couldn't find their cd in any stores. Remember With Me
The Starting Line's set was awesome as usual. Kenny now is sportin a fro. They always put on a good show so you should go see them.
Pete came out and 'sang'(screamed) with Boys Night Out on one song. So then the lead singer for BNO came out and 'sang' on one of the FOB songs.

The tenative list of bands and tour dates can be found in the general discussion portion of The Used message board. Seeing as how the dates were posted by a user we can't be 100% sure that the dates/venues are correct or will stay that way. Taste of Chaos Official Site should have information about it up pretty soon.

The Senses Fail/Early November/Saves the Day/Emanuel show was AWESOME! Amazing. Buddy kept leaning in the crowd right in front of us because our group was singing the loudest. I got some pretty good pictures of it. I also got 3 soundless videos as well. All are posted in my coppermine if you want to check those. This is the shirt I got for Nikki.
I got an email about the Mudvayne meet and greet to day and nearly wet myself in excitement. I will be forwarding this information to my concert companions. I still have yet to recieve our tickets (apparently the passes and cds will be something we pick up when we get to the venue.)

I'm still editing things. Changing text sizes, correcting links, correcting information, & etc. The archives still don't work because wordpress doesn't make conventional archives pages...at least not that I have found. When I figure out how I can easily organize my archives myself or find a hack/plug-in to do so I will get that link on the left working. I'm not happy with the text on the bottom of the image so I might be changing it. It won't be a big page. I will either find a better way to put the text or change the top image entirely. The fall colors more than likely will stay.
I am currently waiting for all 5 of our Mudvayne tix/meet and greets and cds to show up in the mail. I keep checking the ticket site even though they don't have any information that has changed. It says something about getting an email a week before that contains the m&g information so I am assuming that I will be getting that on Friday and forwarding that to Nikki and Dale.
This weekend I went to Korina's and beat my Obscure game two more times. I have no idea what I'm doing this coming weekend so I think I'm going to finally stay up here. If you are in town drop on by. :)
The Senses Fail show is on Thursday and I couldn't be more excited. I am sad that even though I'm going to that concert I have to miss the Relient K/Rufio one that is on the same night. Maybe I will get to meet Buddy(SF) and he will cheer me up.

It's true. I am 22. Korina's kidnapping surprise was taking me to the The Honorary Title/Nightmare of You/Waking Ashland/Cruiserweight show at Gabe's on my birthday! It was an awesome show. I got blessed by Urni's guitar. Cruiserweight played 'Thriller'. Waking Ashland was awesome as usual and Jon wished me Happy Birthday and I wished him one as well (October 21st same as Terrah's) but he's a year older than me and said he was OLD! :crazy: I'm not old nor am I 1 year from being old. Nightmare of You was awesome and I suggest you check them out. The Honorary Title were amazing but I had no doubt they wouldn't be. Can someone please tell me when cds at shows became $10?!?! I thought they were $5....or maybe I was just used to going to smaller band's concerts. I don't know. I will be in town Friday and thus going to Saw II at the good 'ol Ottumwa 8. If u want to go to Saw II with me meet me there at 7:15-7:20ish and we will kick it. Maybe even leave after that and find somewhere to raise hell. :) I'm 22 and never been drunk. I intend to fix this before my 23rd. 364 days to work on that. If you want to get me drunk let me know so you can pick me up somewhere so I don't have to drive. :D

Ok so I didn't update all weekend. I almost got my lip pierced... I decided not to. Why? Because when I was sitting outside Skin Kitchen/Axiom my stomach was doing flip flops. I still can't figure out why. I mean it couldn't possibly hurt more than my nose did, so I wasn't afraid of pain. Since I couldn't pin point the source of my anxiety I decided not to get it since:
A) I didn't want to ultimately vomit on the poor guy piercing me.
B) I didn't want to pass out or hyperventilate.
I think I'm going to have to wait until after Christmas anyway. I don't want to go to my grandparents' and get bitched out for having 'that ugly piece of metal in your face'. I also don't want to hear 'you look so ugly with that in your face'. Holidays rock. My grandmother, aunt, and cousin think they are better than me. The only reason I even go over there anymore is because I love my grandpa and I want to see my father.
I think I should have a New Years party with friends up at my apartment and then drag them all with me to Axiom. How does that sound?!!

I need to really lay off the pop.
Fun fact: when I get my lip pierced I can't eat solid food or drink acidic beverages or alcohol until swelling goes down(typically a couple days). That means all I can eat/drink is Yogurt, applesauce, ice cream, and distilled water. :confused:
So Korina and I had a fun filled movie weekend which started off with Waiting. That movie was hilarious. We've been waiting for that movie to come out for some time now and I was so excited we got to see it. We were going to see it last weekend if it would have come out in Ottumwa. #1 reason why I hate that town? Because they got a bigger theater and still don't get good movies when they come out.
The next movie was Domino. I loved that movie. It has gotten so many bad reviews. Tough shit. I say that movie fuckin rocks. That was another movie I've been waiting for since I saw the preview before 'House of Wax'.
The last movie we went to was Sunday and it was The Fog. That movie fucking sucks. I have NEVER started laughing in the middle of a horror movie and not been able to stop, but that movie was an exception. Maybe I was laughing to keep myself from crying because I had paid money to be tortured for an hour and 40 minutes. My god. I felt horrible for Tom Welling and Selma Blair the only good actors in the movie. They tried their hardest to save it.

I don't know what I'm going to do about this layout block I have. I can't think of anything that would look good. I guess I'll just have to keep the one I have until I can do better without forcing myself.

If you don't think you can get enough protein from not eating meat Boca offers 13 grams of meat compared to the 15 you get from actual ground beef. Still not convinced? Boca tastes the same as actual beef. I couldn't tell the difference. If you go to the grocery store there are a bunch of 'meatless' options.

Ok so after basically 1 day of downloading K got X-Men Legends II. It's so big I have to clean off my computer before I can install the damn thing. I stayed home from Ottumwa today so that I could get some cleaning done. It's almost my birthday and Dustin got me my present last night because I begged. It was only a $15.00 DVD so he didn't put up much of a fight.
I asked him to go to Hot Topic by himself (considering I was still driving back from O-Town and wouldn't make it before they closed). He told me he didn't want to go because the people in there "scare" him. I'm thinking they mostly look like I do. Then he proceeded to tell me he was a little afraid of me...I think he was just being a dumbass.
I am currently trying to get these cds burned off, considering I have a shitty external cd burner it's proving to be difficult (it's really old and slowly dying). If you're still stuck on what to get me for my birthday pool your money and give it to Dustin and tell him to get me a new laptop. DEMAND he get me a new laptop for my birthday.
I know I always say that I'm going to be putting up a new layout and I never do. I am honestly trying to think of one. I have a horrible block and can't think of any. I'm in the process of drawing one out. I've drawn about 5 and gotten nowhere with them. I am trying to think of a design that doesn't look like every personal site I go to.

Ok today dreamhost went down for some reason. I still don't know why because their website is still currently down. It makes me happy that they brought our websites/servers back up before their own. All i did today was clean and go to hy-vee. I have to be THE most interesting person you know. I move to the "big city" and become an even more boring person. I was purchasing tin-foil at hy-vee and for some reason got a tad sad. I thought to myself "There is no going back...I'm grown up and I'm only going to get older from this point." I'm 21 years old ...shouldn't I be going out partying every night? Nope, too tired for that shit.
Sunday I went to Exorcism of Emily Rose and it flippin' scared the crap out of me. It was the best scary movie I've seen in a while.
I'm going back to "O-town" to work a little tomorrow. Whee! I need to get the kitchen closed down so I don't have to drive back down there for work anymore.
Well I'm off to do laundry...but first.
I want to know if anyone but Dale and I watched a show from circa 1997 on MTV called "The Head".

Well Fall Out Boy won the Mtv2 award last night and I cramped both of my hands voting for My Chemical Romance to win viewers choice ..and they STILL DIDN'T!!!! Anyway. I think Korina and I are going to head to the pool at the apartments and get me a friggin tan!
So my allergies are going haywire and I'm too lazy to get my medicine. Were out of food and my money is at work. :D :D
My microwave is REALLY freakin loud!!! I beeps so loud I think everyone in my building can hear when I'm heating up some food. Korina and I were going to kill Dustin this morning when he insisted on making oatmeal at 5:30am before he went to work. For those of you that know that Dustin doesn't have to work till 7:30...he set the alarm for 1 hour earlier than he needed. So he got all dressed and spiffed up for his first day of work and then laid back down in bed with me till he had to leave.

So this is my first whole day up at my new apartment and I slept most of the day. Which is actually surprising because we also got our cable internet today. Sorry to Nikki and Korina who were both talking to me on msn when I mysteriously passed out.

I'm currently working on a new layout. Not like I have a lot of traffic here anyway. I'm thinking about adding some content but I don't know what yet. I'm heading out to Wal-Mart tonight to get some canvas because I feel like painting. So I think I'll work a little on the layout and then paint a little and see what I come up with. I got a hair cut and dye. If I can take a decent picture I'll post one. Think of anything I could put up for content leave a comment.
I'm re-reading the first Harry Potter books and taking notes. I am also reading a book Stephanie recommended to me called "The Golden Compass" by Phillip Pullman. So far I really like it and couldn't put it down when it was time for bed last night. She also let me borrow her book called "Sabriel" by Garth Nix. I haven't started that one yet since it's hers and the other one she borrowed from the library under her name for me. I roughly have 2 weeks to finish it. I also got the book version of "Constantine" with the movie. Woo books. At least I'll have plenty to do when I move. I need to remember to finish Stephanie's book before she goes away to college (boo!).
Everyone is leaving work early to go away to college. I am going to make the hour drive from Des Moines back here to work. Not like there are going to be a bunch of days left anyway. School for the children starts soon. Poor kids...not.
Barb came up to me at work and asked me what diet I was on...Should I be insulted I was apparently noticeably overweight or happy that I look as if I've lost weight?

Ok coming to you live from Illinois a mere 2 hours after we left Warped Tour. Warped Tour was freaking amazing. I went with the number one priority to see All American Rejects and I did! Korina and I were smashed against the barrier the whole set and it couldn't have been more amazing. Tyson kept looking at us and then he got in the crowd with us and we had to pass his sweaty body around for a couple minutes. NO COMPLAINING HERE! Wooo! That man is hot. Korina and I have battle scars from the barriers. If you would like to see Korina's they are on her text america.

Ok we just got back from Des Moines apartment hunting. The first apartment we looked at was our favorite and it just went downhill from there. Were either moving a couple days before the 1st of August or sometime after Dustin graduates the 18th. One of the apartments is like 2 minutes away from Olive Garden. They are all pretty close to Jordan Creek Mall. Our favorite is like 2 blocks away from the Wynnsong 16 theater. I didn't go looking for the new House of Bricks location so I don't know how close we are. I'm pretty sure all the places are somewhat near by. We got a moving packet with cupons and crap. WOOT cupons!
Other than that I've done absolutely nothing. I come home and sit on my butt cuz I'm 21 years old and tired. I feel like I'm 80.

Ok. I'm thinking about giving up on Lisco...and it's not even lisco's fault. This time anyway. Qwest was supposed to come out sometime tomorrow before 5 and set up my dsl connection. When it didn't work I called Lisco today and they informed me that Qwest pushed the set up date back to the 30th!! I don't want to wait another fucking month. If I were a bitch I would call Qwest and see what the deal is..but alas I am not.
Next topic. The new FOB cd is pretty damn good. I am however, still attached to "Take This To Your Grave". Perhaps the new cd will grow on me.
I believe that Nikki is getting her tattoo sometime this week.
Good note: This is the last weekend for open swim at work. WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!
Next Saturday (14th) there is an All American Rejects, Armor for Sleep, and Hellogoodbye show I was trying to get the 3 of us tickets to but the pre-sale is sold out and you can't purchase them for regular price yet. The day after that we have Pointfest in St Louis. We already have tickets to that. So far there are 4 people total going. I don't much expect adding any more people. We will prolly end up driving.
I have now gotten 2 tickets to the Say Anything show ordered. I can't wait for that concert and it's 2 ...almost 3 friggin months away.
My new layout I'm always talking about it is pretty much sketched out on paper. Now making the image is my only current problem. I've got the image made for flawed-reflection.com and working on doing the layout.

I've become depressed and happy all in about 10 minutes today. First off I was moping because I had recently listened to some North* and let it actually hit me that they were done. *sob*. Then I headed on over to my other favorite band's site..Say Anything and saw that they finally posted when they were going to be coming back through Iowa.
I would just like to add as a side note that when planning out the tour stops they should really bust out a map of the good 'ol U S of A because they go from Kansas City, MO to Minneapolis,MN to Des Moines,IA. Nothing like bouncin around the midwest instead of going a straight line. However, I am very happy they will be back at the House of Bricks...even though it has moved to it's new location.
I purchased my Pointfest tickets along with Nikki and Kevin's last night. I used the $2.50 print it option so I knew I would hold them in my hand asap. I scanned the Say Anything pictures Nikki brought me so I could post them on my concerts page. The question now it when will I update that?

Did you know that the Happy? video is on Fuse everyday during this week at around 11:00. Yea. They have a set playlist that they play all week and then they change it. All day every hour on Mtv2 they are 'unleashing' the new System of a Down song 'B.Y.O.B.'...yea it sucks. He screams the first line like a little girl.
On a side note you can go to Fuse.tv and vote 'LOSE IT' on the 50 cent video and the Yin Yang Twins...cuz they suck. However, vote 'KEEP IT' for Acceptance.
Off the topic of music videos. I've been having a shitty week in my head. I hate this. I feel like I should go to the doctor for it, but I'm afraid he will give me something that wil make me...well..not me. I don't want to lose who I am and become a someone that doesn't care about anything.
I should be at work, but I'm so burned out on that place I can't even think about going there without getting a stomach ache. I still have a crap-load to do in outdoor before I can even open. I think I will get ready and go in at 1:00.
The concert I want to go to is about 2 weeks away and I still haven't purchased the tickets. I really should get on it before they are sold out and I cry. I don't know who all is going. The only one that has confirmed is Nikki.

Ok so Heather has now attempted to get her tattoo twice this week...both times I've been with her so I think I'm jinxing her. I told her that if he isn't there on Wednesday when she tries again I will gladly take her to Matt at Skin Kitchen. Yum. I have 3 designs I want to do, but I'm going to wait because I don't want to jump into a bunch of tattoos.
I'm still working on my mudvayne layout, but I can't get it to look how I want it. I don't want this layout anymore..period. I want it gone. The only thing I still like about it is the colors. My new layout will also feature this color scheme.
I went to see Amityville Horror Thursday night and it scared the piss out of Heather and I. I want to go see it again because Ryan Reynolds is so fuckin hot in it.
I think I'm going to Point Fest in Maryland Heights, MO on May 15th. I'm 99% that it is going to happen. If the weather is clear my father said he would fly us. He called the local airport and everything...so he might actually go through with it. That means I can take 4 people besides myself. If the weather is bad he said he would drive us so that I could make it back that night. I refuse to drive 5 hours after a long freakin concert. I have no $$ to be missing work or to stay in a hotel. The tickets are only $18. CHEAP!
Woot my dad is going to drop us off at a metal concert. WOOT!

I've lost my The End of All Things to Come cd so I spent the day downloading it off from iTunes to give the guys some, (very little), but some $.
I have been neglecting this site. I had so many plans for new content and layouts then I hit this slump. Which in my belief is the reason why I've immersed myself in Mudvayne music in the past couple days. It just makes me feel better to get angry. I push way too much down until I explode. Not a good way to live. Not that I have anywhere to vent but here alone, but that's alright with me. I've always liked a dark room, some moody music, and myself.

I have recently become obsessed with the Mudvayne song Happy...well I guess you could say I've become obsessed with the whole freaking cd. It's good you should go out and buy it or download it off iTunes.
I would love to see them live again, but I don't see that happening. The frist time was a happy accident. I was so psyched.
:O And the Mudvayne commercial for Lost and Found just came on. I'm developing an admiration for the singer...prolly because he looks like Gary Oldman only younger and has eyeliner on. MMmmmm. LOL

I love this movie. I've loved this movie since I first saw it in 1998. Which is why I'm perplexed because I don't own this movie. That could possibly be contributed to the fact that I don't think I've seen it anywhere to buy it. I could probably find it at Sam Goody.
I leave for Chicago very son and I couldn't be more excited. Maybe I could find it in Chicago. I mean if it's anywhere it'll be in Chicago. I've gotta find some nice clothes to walk into our hotel with. I normally wouldn't change the way I look to fit in, but I want a nice room and that is probably the only way to get one. I should be at work right now cleaning the kitchen, but I'm having far too much fun enjoying numerous days off in a row. I just realized that my trip to Chicago is less than a week away now. I feel like I'm not prepared because I keep thinking it's forever away from now. I'm printing off some bus routes and train schedules.
Everyone isn't going to the same Warped Tour show this year. I'm going to Bonner Springs, KS for Billy Talent, Nikki is going to Tinley Park, IL with Kevin, and I'm not quite sure where Korina is going.
I've lost my Napoleon Dynamite DVD and it is really upsetting that I didn't notice it until just now. I loaned it to Connie once and got it back...now I don't remember what I did with it. I have the distinct feeling I loaned it to someone else and didn't get it back yet.

I'm watching Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. I really don't like this movie or Lindsey Lohan..but there is absolutely nothing else on. I finally heard on of the songs on Ace's side project "I can make a mess like nobody's business". I liked it even though it was only about a minute and a half.
I can't wait to see Robots sometime this weekend even though I have to work all 3 days. That's ok because I get the week off and coming soon are my vacations. Have any money you wanna give me? You can always put it in my paypal account.
Speaking of paypal I could always sell crap on Ebay for a little extra $$. Like a bunch of cds I don't listen to anymore, movies I don't watch, and some games. Anyone want Simpsons Road Rage for PS2 or maybe Siren for ps2? I've got some others... I'll sell them for $10 bucks each.
Apparently you won't get a room at the hilton that is worth a crap (with a view, non-smoking, etc...) if you don't get there at exactly 3:00 for check in. Hopefully it won't be a busy week so we can get a good room. Woot! I read somewhere that if it is busy and you want a room with a view you pay them an extra $25 a night and they will put you in one facing Michigan Ave. I need to start printing out directions and addresses of places I wanna visit.
I should head into town and get my old plates for my car turned in for some cash.

I have a full day of work ahead of me. I work till 8:00 tonight, like I do every freaking Saturday since September. Yuck. 12-8. Super yuck. But what is keeping me in the 'alright' mood bracket and not plunging into the 'bad freaking mood' catagory? The fact that the Say Anything concert is TOMORROW and I couldn't be more excited for anything!! Plus I have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off work next week which means I get to stay at my house.
What does that mean? I get to clean 90% of my time off. Since my mom won't clean anything at the house and I haven't had the time in a while you can only imagine it's current state. I cleaned the 2nd floor bathroom today before work, but that is a small dent in my chores next week.
What else? ..I finally sold my friggin car which means I have some $$ for the Chicago trip. Plus I get paid on the 10th which is a week before my trip to Kansas City. Then I get another paycheck before the big Chi-town trip so I should be good to go. I got my 1/4 of the hotel room paid to Dustin today which makes me feel like I've made a small dent in my debts. :)
Guess where we are staying?!! We are staying at a friggin Hilton hotel. OMG. It's going to be scary because we don't exactly dress anything like people who normally stay at the Hilton. For right now I'm not even trying to think about who our measly $330 is going to. LOL SORRY PARIS! Nikki looked it up and our room for 4 nights is $4000!!! Oh...my...god. Who would pay that kind of money to sleep?!
Random thought: If people insist on calling here they need to first learn proper english and put their teeth in their mouth. I couldn't understand that lady that just called for anything. I kept having to say 'excuse me?'.

Ok so i haven't updated in almost a month. It's hard to get on the net at home when all I have is dial up and I don't bring my laptop in to work anymore, cuz I've got too much to do.
Plus I got 2 new games and they are my new addictions. All my free time is spent cleaning the house or playing one of the games. I went to the mall with Nikki and Dustin on Monday which is the first time I've been to the mall since December. God it felt great.
In 3 days I will be attending a Recover, Armor for Sleep, and Say Anything show. I am so excited to see Say Anything live again now that I'm a huge fan. The first show Nikki bought their cd and let me listen to it. I was friggin hooked. They are awesome. If you haven't heard them before you should go get thier cd Say Anything- "Is a Real boy". WooT! I'm giving Armor for Sleep a listen on purevolume. They are really, really good. I think I just might have to purchase their cd.
Kay died. I haven't heard or seen her in a long friggin time. I think she should come out of hiding.

Anyway..I'm updating for Nikki. I'm trying to make a new layout with either Meg Ryan or Katie Holmes. They rock. Not only did I cry for 2 whole hours today because I watched the series finale of Dawson's Creek today, but there is also 2 Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movies this weekend on TBS. That is uber exciting. Who doesn't love "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail". My favorite Meg movie is "Addicted to Love".
I get two days off a week now. That is very exciting! I haven't had two days off each week in a long friggin time. I'm not a workaholic by any means, I just feel obligated to take up as much slack here as I can. If someone can't work they come find me. I haven't had a day off since Sunday January 30th. That's a long time. Oh well I get Friday off and I want to go see The Wedding Date. I even had to come in to work early today to deliver school passes. Woot!
I'm saving money like mad for my two trips in March. How's it going?! Not very good. I have to drop some bills before I can save any money. I'm thinking of putting my cell aside for a while and not using it except for traffic emergencies. I text message and send pictures too much. And don't say 'just quit' because it's not that easy for me. I have NO WILL POWER. You know how many times I've tried to start dieting and exercising? Many...within the past 2 weeks even.
I'm lazy. Which can be brought back around to the fact that I haven't done the new layout I promised myself that I would finish by yesterday. I don't even have an image done. Yes, that's the hardest part, but I haven't been inspired what-so-ever lately.
*Wishing that it was 8:00* I miss my home. My migranes are getting worse which leads me to fear there may be something very wrong in my head. My family is prone to cancer...and a lot of cancer at that. Everyone in my family has gotten at least 2 types of cancer. That is why I fear there may be something wrong up there. If there is...can they do anything about it? I mean if there was a choice to either have the surgery and be a vegetable or leave it be and die. I would choose the latter. Who wants to be a burden?
I worry about my mom as well. If she doesn't start taking better care of herself I'll loose her. I don't know how to get her to do anything. I know I'll loose her one day, but I don't want it to be before her time. Any suggestions?

Friday night there was a bad accident at the end of my road. Someone went in the giant ditch with all the trees. I finally found out who it was today. Not that I know them, just nice to know. In a round about way I know the driver. It's Jarred and Brett's sister from the beach. Everyone is fine. Thank god.
I saw Unwritten Law 'live' today. It was on Fuse's 7th Ave Drop. They started off with one of my favorite songs. I won't judge them too horribly since this is the only time I've seen them perform, but the lead singer sucks live. I'll give him slack in case he might have had a cold or been drinking the night before. His voice was kinda scratchy and it didn't sound very good. Nothing like how good he sounds on the cd track.
I was afraid you all might have thought I died. I should have posted last night when I was upset. I fell into a girl mood where I was really emo about everything. I slightly over-reacted to something at work and then we got really busy. If you know me, then you know that I'm not good around a large amount of people. I do think however, that I filled out approx 45 pass cards in record time yesterday. I was flipping out.
Tonight...not one customer came through that door.
I'm going to get out of here semi early tonight if these people from the swim meet would just leave.

Sitting at work on another busy 'school party' night. I don't know what is so appealing about bringing your kids here to swim when it's in the negative temperatures out. Lordy. "Come on sweetie. I'm going to drop you off at the beach so you will leave me alone. When I pick you up with your wet hair and wonder the next day why you have a horrible cold I just might scold myself."
We all had a conversation about the fact we all wish that summer would come quicker because it's better in the summer. It is. It's warmer and I don't have to deal with this admissions garbage. I don't mind having a easy job in the winter, but I do adore working in the kitchen. Sierra made me sad because she started talking about how bad she wanted cheeseballs. So do I! And chicken strips. Mmmm yummy. I miss bossing my kitchen workers around. That was the funnest part. Alas, I think that it will be just me in the kitchen this year. Korina thinks she's gone for good, and we won't know till she asks faithanne...I don't blame u if you don't kay...she's kinda intimidating.
I want to go home after this and play Warcraft III LAN game with my boyfriend.

The 2nd swim meet of the week is drawing to a close and I'm getting ready to do major damage control for the next 1/2 hour when everyone clears out. Korina came to see me earlier and brought me my cds so I could listen to my angry girl music.
I finally got the computer in the office up and working. It's a supa fast machine now. I just have to string the network cord to it so they can use the net tomorrow. I think they are swimming tomorow morning again, I might come if I drag my ass out of bed. I want to lan game tonight. It's no fun with just me and Dustin.
I beat X-men legends and now I have nothing to play. I got really far in my Silent Hill 4 game and saved in a bad spot with no health a couple months ago so now I can't play off that save. Poo on me. I should just sit down and do the graphic for my new skin..alas I cannot convince myself that it will turn out decent. I need some confidence.
I really want to go buy/rent Harold and Kumar go to White Castle but I don't have the $$ for it in my budget. I liked it in the theater...a lot and was excited when I found out it was out on DVD.

Ok I feel like an idiot for reasons I rather not talk about. I am sitting at work and somehow even though I went swimming with 2 of my bosses this morning and got 1 hour and 1/2 of extra work and I still feel as if I'm THE most hated person here. I can't explain why I can go from content at work to fear again, but it happens all the time. I can't wait till summer starts and I can go in the kitchen and hide. Then I don't have to face the fact that someone in here may hate me. Would you say I'm paranoid or is it justified?
I don't know what to do with myself anymore. It feels like the more I try to do right and make friends I seem to mess it up and push everyone away. What I thought was going to be a new friend to hang out with has panned out horribly.
I come here to pour my heart out so I don't go insane and when I finish I feel like an even bigger jackass than when I started. I feel useless...am I the only one? I've noticed I have nothing to offer my friends. I am the most boring person in the world.
I just keep trying to grasp something that is dissolving before my eyes. I can do nothing to stop the deterioration. It's just hard to accept something that I loved so much is gone. Vague? I know. You aren't supposed to understand. Then everyone might try to console me and tell me it's not over but were kidding ourselves. I don't want to be consoled. I just want to mourn the loss and move on.

I have the hicups. I am currently sitting at work waiting for the 50-60 odd people to leave before I can clean up after the swim meet we just had. It's going to be a mess in there. I feel like a dumbass because I wore sweat pants and a sweat shirt(always the sexiest look possible). I look like I weigh 300lbs and rolled out of bed.
I may get a decent amount of hours on this paycheck considering the fact that I had to miss 2 days. WooT! Go weather! I left Connie a note on her time clock in hopes that she will be able to work for me on March 16th so that I can go to the Taste of Chaos concert! WooT! If not I don't know what I will do. I may have to work. I'm hoping that is the week they drain the pool and we aren't open. I would be so happy! I don't expect Connie to be able to work for me because she is a music director at church and the 16th is on Wednesday. I think Nikki and I would both sob if I wasn't able to go. (She bought the ticket for me). There are a couple concerts next month that I would like to attend but I just can't pull that kind of cash.
Ok, the lobby just went from being really loud to really freakin quiet so I am assuming everyone left. I shall go begin my cleaning so that I'm not here until 10:00 tonight.

Somehow I paid the bills that I needed from this paycheck and it's the smallest paycheck I've gotten in 7 months. My astonishment comes from the fact that I can't seem to pay bills when I get paid my normal amount which is 3 times as much as this last paycheck. Why? Because I spend it on worthless stuff. I've been trying to be responsible with my money because I noticed I made $6,000 some dollars last year and have nothing to show for it. I could have bought my old car right out for that yet I didn't manage to pay the $2500 I had left on the loan. I'm horrible at money management. I've put money in my savings and plan to only add to it and not take away from it unless it's to place it on bills or to pay off some of my new car loan. I want to save enough money in the coming year or so to put a decent downpayment on a house.
Speaking of buying the house, I think Dustin and I are moving to Des Moines next year. Thats scary that the rest of my life is starting.
I need to get my web design out and going. I've gotta fill out some tax papers and such before I can. I may also take some of my savings and buy ads in news papers and such. If I wasn't such a chicken shit I would go on the radio and tv with commercials.
Mike at work is trying to convince me I need to pack up my friends and go on a road trip before 'we grow up without experiencing anything'. I would love to go on a road trip but I just can't take that kind of time off work. Hell, I have enough problems getting one day off to go to concerts.

Ok first a correction from my last post. Gary Oldman is in Batman Begins...not like anyone cares, just thought I would fix that. My mother tried to leave our house today and made it to the top of the hill just down the way a bit and got stuck. Were all iced in at our house, there is absolutely nothing good on tv right now. It looks as if Korina will be stuck at Dale's for a while because this is only supposed to get worse. Apparently Wednesday all of Iowa is going to be cold enough to get even more ice except the southern part (where we are) which is supposed to get thunderstorms. Thunderstorms?! In January? I think the weather man has done fell off his rocker.
I've read the February issue of AP 3 times already today. I can't get inspired to finish the website for Nikki's church. I don't know how to do the layout.
Now that I've gotten Greymatter up and running on my site I need to upload it on the church's site and Nikki's. Although I'm pretty sure that she could set it up herself if she wanted. It's easy.
I've got a billion concerts I want to go to and I don't have the funds. I've gotta choose between a dozen of my favorite bands to narrow them down to an amount I can come up with. Apparently Nikki is going to buy Dustin and I's ticket to Taste of Chaos for March. I'm happy about that cuz it means I can stop worrying about whether or not I can go. Then Korina wants to go to two concerts in two days in February. I can admit I may be able to make that because one is only $6 and the other is $10 I believe. Hellogoodbye is going to be the $10 concert and I've loved them for almost a year now. Let me restate that. I adore them. Chevelle and Sugarcult are both on tour but not coming to Iowa, close, but not Iowa and I don't have the funds to go out of state to see them.
I want to go on vacation before summer. I want to go to Chicago and just chill a couple days. I think I might save like $10 a paycheck and if I make enough money by April or May I might go. Sound fun to anyone else? I think I'm just itching to go out and be independent for a bit. Get away from Iowa and all the bullshit that is here. I realize that Chicago isn't very far from Iowa, but it's the farthest I can get right now.
I hate that MTV is devouring another 2 bands I like. TRL is having Breakout Stars Week and guess who is going to be on there. My Chemical Romance and The Killers. These bands do not belong on the same show as Jesse McCartney(or another Aaron Carter), Mario (crappy hip-hop rap shit), and like 3 other horrible rapper crap people. With special appearances by people who aren't the same caliber as MCR and The Killers. I used to like Simple Plan but MTV has spit them out as a pop group and they don't plan on going any harder because "that isn't where their fans are". So I will sit and listen to the first cd (which is pop I know, but I still like some of the songs on it) and watch the DVD which is hours of amusement and mourn the loss of yet another band we like going down the crapper. Now your thinking, "What other band?" Linkin Park. Mike said he's so tired of listening to Metora and that the next cd is going to be different and then hinted that there would be appearances by hip-hop artists. I FUCKIN HATE THAT BULLSHIT CRAP! I would be a happy girl if everyone who did rap just fell of the face of the earth. I TAKES NO TALENT WHAT-SO-EVER. I used to really like all this nu metal stuff, but it's all starting to sound the same. Godsmack, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, and almost everything new on Lazer 103.3. Not that I will be delving into metal...can't stand that stuff either. I just can't stand what is going on with music now. I still love Chevelle and always will. I loved Linkin Park and will always love thier old stuff.
Off my rant I've now have to go and figure out how I'm going to leave my house at 3:00 because I have to go to work.

Ok so the freezing rain started at about 6:00, so what ensued was this:
1) Children's swim team was released early
A)A flood of children came into the office to use the phone
B)Between the calls I'm RECIEVING calls from various people telling me it's getting bad out.
2) Amy calls and talks to me for 10 minutes stating over and over again that "It's too bad out and I'm not going to try to come in...but I want to work...but it's not worth it...but I want to work."
3) A flood of parents come in and rant to Debbie (the head of swim team) that its freezing and she needs to cancel. Where is Debbie? In here with me. So there are 6 children, Debbie, and about 4 parents standing in the office doorway.
4) I had Dustin drive all the way into town to bring me food cuz I thought I would be here until 8:00
5) Apparently this is going to be another week I don't work..and I really need the friggin money.
Ok, but before that I was sitting at work thinking to myself "What could I possibly do that would get noticed around here?" Why? Because I'm in constant fear that I will get fired.
I'm ready to go home, this spaceheater is giving me a friggin headache.
I saw a trailer for "Kingdom of Heaven" which as David Thewlis in it. Only a big deal for me...but it makes me happy. (Who is David Thewlis? He's Professor Lupin in HP and the prisoner of azkaban) What is exciting for me is that he's in the last couple seconds of the trailer talking to Orlando Bloom. *drool over the two hot guys*
On another dork note Gary Oldman is going to be in Batman Returns...and yes I like him too. Cept in Fifth Element where he has silly hair but I still <3 him.
Something for Korina: They are making movies from the book Chronicles of Narnia. The first movie is "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."
THERE IS A FREAKING CHILD RUNNING AROUND OUT IN THE LOBBY YELLING "YOU'RE FIRED!" OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND IF HE DOESN'T STOP I WILL KILL HIM.

So the editing of the template was a bit more frustrating than stalling it, but I still haven't spend nearly as much time on this as I had to with moveable type so Greymatter get's my vote. I'm assuming Nikk would like her blog up and running one of these days so I'll try to get that up for her tomorrow. I think kay might be coming over tomorrow...but I'm not sure. Everyone is welcome to come out tomorrow...I'll for sure be bored and I'm too poor not to be here.
P.s. when editing greymatter templates don't remove {{entrysubject}} or the music and mood thingers won't work.

So here I go with my first post. I already like Greymatter more that moveable type. Which isn't hard since when we first got glory-fades.com it took me around 6 hours to set up moveable type. You know how long it took me to set up greymatter? 1 hour and 1/2 and that is only because I kept watching Fuse and getting distracted by my mother and dog. Mind you I haven't attempted to alter the code yet so I might run into a little hissy fit there, but so far so good. Wish me luck.

I think the date on here is fucked up. Other than that my new layout it up and running. While surfing around you may run into a couple snags. If you run into one would you please leave me a comment and tell me what happened. I am aware that my past layouts page isn't working yet. I'm on it and should have it working soon. Maybe even tonight. After my move over to php I have a strong dislike for movable type. I think I will be switching over to grey matter or b2 very soon.

I've redeveloped my slight obsession with Yahoo Pool. My current score is 1264 and that because Dale was beating the crap out of me last night. I give my props to the pool master Dale. The guy I am currently playing is 1046...yea. The girl before didn't move the stick she just shot...yea...her score was 850. Poor thing. I was cleaning the kitchen today and got very high off "Oven off" fumes. I also completed my lifeguard training and now must take the test.... Connie and I are cleaning the grease trap tomorrow. Fun for all. Nikki is doing a 'port' something and just had a donkey in her store. :)

The northstar concert freaking rocked! I was behind two huge-moungus guys but everytime I peeked over their shoulders and was singing at the top of my lungs Nick would look at me and smile. *gets all giddy like a little girl* then when he was trying to load up the van me and nikki stopped him and got his autograph and a picture with him (I'll post it soon) *!Side note to kay!* ~I talked to him!!! I did I did! I said things to him. *!End Side note!* So anyway I got two performance pictures because I couldn't settle down enough to take a decent picture. Say anything went first and oh my god they are good...one song the drummer is just going "BOOM BOOM BADABOOM!!!!" I was like I can't see the boy and I like him! WOW! Northstar played: For Members only Pollyanna American Living Pornographer's Daughter (a request) Rigged and Ready (a request) Two Zero Two (a request) They were very super sweet and sang the songs we kept asking for. They said we were too quiet. (There were maybe 30-40 people there all night) So people were shouting out things all night. It was one of the best shows I've been to.

I have a concert tomorrow and a little thing with Nikki and Heather tonight...no big party plans or anything like that. Maybe a little drinking and a game tonight. I wish I could have a big party but I think I would totally feel uncomfortable. I just found out that my dad is selling a truck full of steel and another truck or so of beans and he's planning on giving me and my sister 1 grand each...and that crazy girl (my sister) told him to give her grand to me...whoa ....to pay off all my bills including my car. I <3 her. He wants to give it to us so his druggy girlfriend can't get ahold of it. I think that is why he also offered to take me to Florida for my birthday. I've still gotta wait a few weeks on that so that he can get all that stuff sold.

What's up my peoples? I have to be the most boring 21 year old on the planet. I haven't done anything in the past 3 days that require my id what-so-ever. My only day off this week (besides the concert saturday) is Sunday and I have a fun filled day of spending time with my grandma and grandpa. I was thinking that I would take them out to lunch or supper. I wanted to gambling with Connie and my mom sunday but I don't think Connie was too crazy about going... WISH NIKKI AND KORINA WERE 21. I MISS YOU KORINA!! Nikki dawn I do believe you possibly missed my last class of my water aerobics career. The women think Amy is coming back next week and I'm not doing it Thursday. I want to lap swim during the day but I have no one to do it with. I miss people....

The people having a birthday party at the beach today are a bunch of hicks. Imagine that. In Ottumwa? No! Never! Hicks? Racist Ignorant People?! No! So I'm sitting at work trying to find something to keep me busy, how lucky for you. I was trying to read the book Connie gave me this morning when I was helping her move. Connie, Connie has alot of stuff. Whoa. Erin came into work today thinking that she was the one working today...and this afternoon ...and tomorrow. I'm like no, the schedule in the office is permanent (direct order from FARM herself) and Erin doesn't work weekends anymore because she's inept to finding someone to cover and hold a rational management idea in her head. If your the only guard present you guard the pool and let someone else do admissions...most jobs take common sense...poor girl. Aerobics are going fine, the water is cold, but fine. The old ladies seem to like me along with the 3 girls from the Alternative High School that come down here for 'P.E.' Class. I'm a P.E. TEACHER!!! How cools is that? Wish I got a nice salary, but alas I don't. My family birthday party is tonight, that means I will be getting some $$ for tomorrow shopping with my mommy. I was thinking I would go to my dad's and hit him up before his druggie girlfriend get's my birthday money. The Northstar concert is 1 week from today and I couldn't be more excited. Everyone should go out and get themselves a Northstar cd and educate themselves. "Take a chance cuz you might grow" True dat Gwen. GO SEE THE GRUDGE... YOU'LL REGRET IT LATER. ;) I went to see it with Heather, Nikki, Dustin, Kevin, and my mom..wow that movie is freaky. I was praying that it was going to be over soon. The girl in it is creepy! **Spolier** BEWARE OF THE FREAKING BUS!!! OMG!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! **End Spolier** That movie was really good. I give them props for the freak out factor through the whole damn thing. They don't let you rest. Your like "Ahh..I nice easy going part with a cop, flashback, etc." BUT NO! Ok the days are counting down until I am a fully responsible adult and how better to announce my coming of adulthood than to move out of my mother's house? So that's exactly what I am doing. Moving out. Big step? No. Why? Because I already did it once and it wasn't that big of deal. I think it's going to be Dustin, Nikki, Kevin, and I in a house..if all goes as planned. Anyone have a fidge they wanna lend us? As I embark on my travels into adulthood I realize that my Peter Pan syndrome has become more and more stubborn. Refusing to leave my sub conscious and let me be ok with this whole '21' thing. I still want to be small. I see these little 6th grade girls running around work and I wish that I could revert to that simpler time. I don't think anyone really realizes how petrified I am at the current moment. I don't want to be grown up. I guess this could be contributed to the fact that although I was naive when I was a child I was insanly happy. I was the only one of my friends that had both my biological parents in the same house. Enough with my inner turmoil on to what I'm looking forward to at the end of this month. I will be going to see Northstar (my most absolutely favorite band) live and in person in Des Moines. Why is this more exciting that any other concert to me? Because 1) it's North-freakin-star and 2) it means that even for 1 day I get away from the Halloween Hike that my job is putting on...that means for 1 whole entirely perfect day I get to remove myself from the screaming children and immerse myself in the wonderfull release that is music. Which reminds me...I should set up my drum kit it helps me vent and to not release this plethora of over information to the general public (you).

I'm alive and had a blast at the Fall Out Boy/Matchbook Romance/Taking Back Sunday concert. m I met all of Fall Out boy and 2 members from Matchbook Romance, including Andy, the singer.... I should post the 4 pictures I got on my phone from the Fall out boy set...I'll do that someday. We've got a northstar concert on October 30th. I'm so excited. I'll dance on everyone around me if I get to meet anyone from Northstar.

I updated not only my blog today but I put my Maroon 5 study in the 'you' section if you would like to view it again. I was thinking of doing a new layout while I'm at work today since this one has been up for a while. Know anyone who needs a website? Cuz I know someone who really needs $300...no really.. My mom doesn't have enough $$ for the property taxes so I thought everyone should pay their 1/3...I've been working my ass off I don't think I accumulated enough hours to have $$ for that, gas for my concert, and for my cell phone bill... WHICH I FREAKIN LOST MY CELLPHONE!!!!! I'm not sure what I should do because it's nowhere I've looked. Nikki had me call us cellular and they suspended my service so I'm supposed to call him when I find it. If I get a new phone because I can't find my last one...they are going to see the serial number on it changed when they un-suspend it.

My weekend sucked because of someone at work...and we won't talk about that other than on Tuesday my BOSS came into the kitchen while I was cleaning and said "Would you like to work weekends for me? Friday, Saturday, and Sunday?" Me:"Yes! Of course I would" Her: "Well then I'll have Connie show you how to use the safe.." Yea, then bitch goddess that I work with takes this weekend because she thinks she's hot shit and can do the schedule. Hell no. I'm not going down that easy this year. I'm going to have a talk with Faithanne when I go in there in about 1/2 hour. Then comes Sunday. The day I was looking forward to for 2 weeks now. I wanted to go to Jordan Creek with Nikki, Kevin, Korina, Dale, Dustin, and my mom...so I warn everyone ahead of time...get this day off were going to Jordan Creek to have fun! Come Saturday my mom informs me she 'forgot' and is having her birthday party at 2:00 in the afternoon..so a no go on her... and my boyfriend comes to me "Oh I can't get it off". God I was pissed. Were going Thursday now. Just him and me and I'm going to finally get to see the movie I waited all weekend to see because I thought I was going to get to see it Sunday..I beginning to hate people and their wishy-washy ways.. So you say...what happened to Nikki, Kevin, Korina, and Dale? Well, they went and I didn't go because of the massive fight I just has with two of my loved ones and I didn't want to be ignored. No offense to them because I know they don't mean to do it...it just happens when your with your boyfriend. But Dustin redeemed himself when he came home from work bearing pink roses and white daisies. Good job D. (Thanks Nikki ;) )

Not too long ago I was listening to my Maroon 5 cd in my car, if I recall accurately Korina was sitting shotgun with me when I either pondered in my head or out loud. "I do believe that all these songs have a sexual reference." After weeks of this rolling around in the back of my head it was brought forth by my curiosity of the first verse of 'Harder to Breathe'. Because of Adam's slurring and mumbling of the words I could never accurately grasp the real lyrics. This is where my adventure began. Upon reading the first verse I moved on throughout the song which is where I stumbled upon my discovery of the sexual reference in the Maroon 5 song that I had previously believe to be void of one. What reference you ask? I now ask you to delve into the last bit of the second verse. For the lyrics: "Clutching your pillow and writhing in a naked sweat, hoping somebody someday will do you like I did." Aha! Now this trigged my curiosity so I delved further into the Maroon 5 lyric universe. On to track 2. 'This love'...seems to be a lovely song about breaking up with someone. Yet it still manages to contain a couple references. Reference numero uno: "I tried my best to feed her appetite. Keep her coming every night, so hard to keep her satisfied." Ah..dirty,dirty boys. But wait! There's more! Second: "My pressure on your hips. Sinking my fingertips, into every inch of you. Cause I know that's what you want me to do." Whoa boys...bring it down a notch. On to track 3 titled 'Shiver' and the reference here? "So come to bed It's getting late. There's no more time for us to waste. Remember how my body tastes You feel your heart begin to race." Track 4 'She Will Be Loved'. What's that you say? Such a romantic song how could it possibly...?" Oh my friend they have decived you so. "I've had you so many times but somehow, I want more." Yea, I know what you're thinking. I really had to dig for that one. My friend you do not know me, that that lyric jumped right out at me. Track 5 'Tangled'. Even the name conjures up dirty images..wait..is that only me? Let's proceed to the reference within the song. "Your just innocent, a helpless victim of a spider's web. And I'm an insect, goin after anything that I can get." That one not clear for you? Adam breaks it down for you in the chorus. "I think I should go. The things I've done are way too shameful" Moving right along to 6 and a little diddy they call 'The Sun'. "The sex she slipped into my coffee. The way she felt when she first saw me." Oh behave boys. Next is 7 or 'Must Get Out', now if I were desperate to prove my point to you I would make the obvious comment about the name of this one but I shall prove it thu the lyrics. "She does not walk she runs instead. Down these jagged streets and into my bed." Hehe this is fun isn't it boys and girls? It's 8! No it's 'Sunday Morning'. You think just because it says Sunday morning that it's going to be about their trip to Church? I think not. At least no trip to church I've ever been on..."Steal some covers share some skin, clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable. You twist to fit the mold that I am in." That's only the first verse kiddies, we've got another one. "Fingers trace your every outline. Paint a picture with my hands. Back and forth we sway like branches in a storm" Wow, were almost done. Next is 9 which is called 'Secret'. Hrm..wonder what the secret is. Let's find out. "Car overheats. Jump out of my seat. On the side of the highway baby. Our road is long. (*giggles uncontrolably "I bet") Your hold is strong. Please don't ever let go Oh No." Not clear on what's going on yet? Let Adam help you out. "Cool these engines, calm these jets. I ask you how hot can it get, and as you wipe of beads of sweat, slowly you say 'I'm not there yet!'" There you go. Track 10 also known as 'Through With You'. "Do you remember, the way we used to melt. Do you remember how it felt when I touched you. Oh cause I remember very well." Later in the song you hear: "And at night when you sleep, do you dream I would be there. Just for a minute or two do you?" The live track 11 and the second to last song called 'Not Coming Home'. This one was a little more difficult, but I found what I was looking for in the opening line. "When you refuse me, you confuse me. What makes you think I'll let you in again." Last song called 'Sweetest Goodbye'. How appropriate for the end of the cd? "Pushing forward and arching back. Bring me closer to heart attack" What an ending it was. Although I kid about these songs and their sometimes obvious sexual undertones I do love Maroon 5 with all my heart. And since I've spent the better hour reading through some of the lyrics most of these songs so have some honestly sweet parts, but as any girl knows boys will be boys. Boys write dirty songs and Maroon 5 are obviously no exception.

Napoleon Dynamite is really good. Korina, Dale, Dustin, and I went to Jordan Creek Town Center Tuesday night to check everything out and went to Napoleon Dynamite. I love that movie. It rocks. The arcade in the movie theater has a game called Extreme, it's like Dance Dance Revolution. I wouldn't know the difference because I haven't played the DDR. Ok so, we got addicted to Extreme so we then came home and purchased a beat pad for each of us to dance to Britney's Dance Beat. My pad hates me. It's really hard to master where all the buttons are. I'm going up to Jordan Creek again on September 12th. Who wants to come? It's so far my mom, Dustin, and I.

Ok so I'm sitting here getting ready to go take a shower and I noticed that neither kay nor nikki updated their sites today or yesterday so I thought I would actually update my site for once. I just read a email from a girl that went to my site and lives in Jesse Lacey's home town..how exciting! And she told me that he has 6 siblings!! Whoa cow! I was going to take some goofy self pics with my new digital camera so I could update my hot or not picture and then post the extras on here, but I'm just not ready for anyone to see what I actually look like now other than the people that come here and actually know me. I need a hair cut.... I actually got up at 8:00 am this morning and went on a walk. That took alot of work. I'm obsessed with I <3 the 90's. Kay's mommy now knows about her tattoo. Ruh ro..she's mad. My goal by next Saturday is 80 hours. Whoa cow. I've got around 25 hours What else was going to tell you...? We have a countdown of 9 days till Warped Tour! Rock!

This movie is a freakin boob fest. I've been watching it 15 minutes and have seen 3 girls boobs...yea it's a spankfest for boys. I'm currently downloading pictures from my phone. I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to Boe for his lovely 'comment', it was much appriciated. PICTURE TIME!! This is my *NEW* kitten Mittens. Isn't she cute? -Links Removed- So, my sister comes home yesterday and tells my mom that my dad misses me and wants to see me...does she tell me? No. Then she gets mad at me when I tell her that I'm not buying him anything for Father's day..I want her to sit down and give me one good reason why I should give him a present that would in turn mean that I think he's a good father. He's not. He abandoned our family and during the divorce he said that he didn't care if he ever saw me again and didn't think he should pay child support. Yea, makes me wanna buy him a gift...how bout you? One more whole day until my back is in a searing amount of pain while I needle repeatedly penetrates it. Yup. I swear I've gotten really lazy since I started work, but you have to give me credit that I work 7 days a week, been working on a robe, cleaning the house like crazy, and trying to make the most out of my last free summer. UPDATE THUS FAR: 1) A group of us are going up this Thursday to get our tattoos. Dale is going up with us...mind you the boy isn't getting a tattoo. I think he's just going to spend time with Kay...hehe 2) I got my skateboard, fell off it, fractured my elbow, and haven't gotten on it since out of fear of killing myself. *I will get back on it soon* 3) Kay <3 Dale 4) It's Nikki's 20th birthday and she rocks!!! 5) Ottumwa is going to flood and disappear from the face of the earth...no really...i swear. 6) I took the summer off from school because I'm super lazy and don't want to work and go to school. 7) The managers at work hate me and kay and have determined that they are going to use this summer to piss us off. 8) We don't care and we are doing everything in our power to piss THEM off. :D 9) Went to see HP 3 Friday June 4th at 12:05 am in Pleasant Hill, IA...and it rocked soooo hardcore. 10) I've finally finished HP 5, the book. Made me cry, bad book. 11) Kay has caught my HP fever and read 3,4,and is currently reading 5. 12) Warped Tour is 1 month and 4 days away and I still don't have my ticket. 13) Three boys almost have me convinced that I should go to Ozzfest. 14) I've almost convinced Kay that Snoop Dog isn't a good enough reason to miss LP this summer. 15) Rob Bourdon works at the beach. 16) NORTHSTAR STILL ROCKS! 17) Currently in the process of finding another book to read...any suggestions? The time when everything is due and I've let myself slack so much that my passing depends all too heavily on my final test grades.. I love the pressure! Fall Out Boy is going to be in Des Moines. THAT'S RIGHT BABY! They have finally decided to come here. July 31st to be exact. Right after Warped when I'm going to be so concerted out that I can't breathe. I get paid tomorrow and it's yet another paycheck I don't get to myself. How exciting you say? Very! I forgot my headphones so I have to use Dustin's ...which they suck...but nothing but love for him. :)

Shoot the Wendy bird! Wooooooo I love that movie. I just finished watching it. Korina and I took a lunch break and went over and purchased ourselves each a copy of this wonderful movie. Everyone of you that hasn't already should follow suit and purchase it as well. You will not be sorry. I am in the process of cleaning up my room before I head to the other to practice my drums. I'm in the process of learning 'The Reason' by Hoobastank. I've almost got it done. I'm so excited. I would like to state I have a very large list of cds that Target needs to get their ass in gear and order so I can buy them. I don't want to order them online because that would cost shipping...but I would love to give the $$ as directly to these bands as possible because I love them so. NORTHSTAR ROCKS YOU!!!

Yup it is. That's SOTY's new song. It's good. Much harder than some of the songs on Page Avenue. I just got my cobol done by the skin of my teeth. Ok, I'm going to be the 3rd person to talk about the park. Nikki summed it up well in her post. Kevin, Korina, Nick, Nikki, My Mom, and I went to eat at Breadeaux Pizza. Then Kevin, Korina, Nick, Nikki, and I went to the park. We played in what is called the 'fun house'. It's like a hamster wheel. Anyway it's not such a fun house when there are mean boys there to spin it waayyy too fast. I was in it with Nikki and Kevin and I tripped and fell. It was scary.

Yup, yup it's true. Dave Foley just told me that. I've been watching tv and doing homework ALL friggin day. I'm so exciting. I can't go to work because it's raining here and there is nothing left inside to clean. I've got to watch my one of my favorite movies today..that's right. The Secret Garden. I also like The Little Princess. I'm odd and like movies like that. I also enjoyed the book. I'm in the middle of Harry Potter 5...that's right. I've had the book for almost a year and I haven't finished it. I had to read 1,2,3,&4 before I could read 5. Harry Potter is so much better when you read it. You get so much more, but I'm excited to see the 3rd movie. Right before I was falling asleep the other night I saw a preview for it. It was the first preview I've seen on the tv. There is a very odd guy on madtv right now. My posts used to be funny....wonder what happened.

I have about 4 more worksheets and a whole database to code, plus a case problem for COBOL and I have to comment my C program. I can't believe that I let myself get so far behind in school. I need to start taking responsibilty. Right now I'm wasting grants that people who really want to go to school could be using. I want to be in school for web design. It's what I really love. Ok, so I lied. I thought that I would have to make out with a cpr dummy but I didn't. We just had to take a recertification challange test. We can get a max of 8 questions wrong...I think I got like 49 questions out of 50 wrong. I can't remember that crap from last year? Anyway who's going to crawl out of the pool and drag themselves to the kitchen and make me do cpr on them? I barely see any customers. The only thing I think we need to learn is first aid. Jake didn't show up for the cpr test and now he's going to have to take the class again. hehe. Shouldn't have been a lazy poop. I'm thinking of taking a nap because I'm bored and sleepy. I was going to make a Finch layout because I just can't get the other one to work. Anyone else going to warped?? Me! I am. I am so excited about Billy Talent I just can't contain myself. It's Friday night..and I'm doing the most exciting thing in the world. I'm sitting on the computer with nothing to do. Nikki is on a date with Kevin and Korina is at her house, or on the way there, and going to watch movies she rented... Me? I have a massive migraine that is making me sick and I think I'm going to head to bed pretty soon. That's right Friday night at 10:00 I'm going to bed. Prolly because at 9:00 in the morning we got like 60 phone calls that kept waking me up. It made me so mad so I got up and sat around for 3 more hours then went to work until 6:00...a good 5-6 hour day. I have cpr recertification tomorrow and I don't wanna do it. I'm sitting here at 9:30 in the fricken morning updating because I have nothing else better to do as of right now. Later Kay and Nikki are coming over to watch my brand new Jem dvds!! Yay..don't tell them but I watched the frist episode last night :P. hehe Love ya n & k! Boe updated his site with a tiny little update. :P Just kidding Boe..*pats you on the head* good job. Its supposed to be 85 today but it's fricken cold right now. It's going to storm really bad too. Yesterday I went shopping with N & K and got the most kickass pair of girl Dickies and Kickgirl pants ever. Plus I finally got a new Brand New shirt. Not the one I really want mind you...but I good one none the less. I also got the Deftones backpack I've been wanting because Korina found it on sale for $18...my Deftones on clearance??!?? No..no..I couldn't have that so I bought it. I want to play a game but I don't know what to play. I think I should beat Resident Evil Outbreak..I don't have broadband internet at my house so I can't get online and play with everyone else which sucks. I could also play Pikmin because I started another game of that because of K...(ya poo!!) Ok so I've done nothing all weekend except watch movies with Korina which included the likes of Pieces of April (5 out of 5 stars), Looney Tunes Back in Action (3 out of 5), Pocohantas (5!!), The Sweetest Thing (5), and Minorty Report(4). Ok, so were not the most exciting people right now but you gotta give us a break.
I also watched Linkin Park: Frat Party at the Pancake Festival...which I highly reccomend you purchase because I've already run one copy into the ground and I'm working on the second copy...my frist DVD cover is signed by none other than the wonderful drummer Rob Bourdon and my second DVD is signed by the entire freakin band!! WOOOO LP ROCKS U!! Anyway...yea.
Off to school tomorrow then more work. Since it's supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow I guess were prolly going to finish cleaning those damn tubes. Oh heres a funny little story. We spent a better half of 1/2 hour Friday stacking the clean tubes all nice and pretty before we left right?! Yea we did..they were in nice stacks of 6.... I just drove by after supper and saw that our nice stacks were gone...yea that's right..the freakin wind tipped them all over and you know what the best part is? I don't know where half of them went. Yea that's right I DON'T KNOW!!! THEY FLEW AWAY! The aren't anywhere near the rest of the tubes from what I could see. :'( I shed a tear for me and kay..

Ok, so I can't cross my eyes. Well, i can point one to the middle (ie. my right eye). My damn left eye. It points straight forward. It's all creepy an stuff. My problem is that I think that whole 'you keep doing that your face with stick that way' theory is way off base. I used to do it all the time when I was a little kid. The new theory should be 'if you keep doing that you'll never be able to when you grow up'. Ah, the things you learn as you get older.

Ok I was sitting in the middle of my COBOL class yesterday and BOOOOOOOM! It sounded like the wall exploded. I expected to see the Kool Aid man when I turned around. Scared the shit out of everyone in the class. So after that there is about 30 seconds of silence. Then EEEEEEERRRP!!! Goes the fire alarm on the door. It continues to do EEEEEERRP in spurts. They are really loud and about 1 seconds long each. You would think these would come at the same intervals but ooooooh no. They are random. Everytime they go off it scares the crap out of the entire class. Were talking 'big mean guys' that nothing scares them, were jumping 2 feet up off their seat. So that was my day...nothing really happened other than that.
OHH! Nikki came to see me and brought me business cards she made kay and me for Flawless Designs. :D Hehe Kay got her computer back! I think it works but it has a virus so I see that she is going to have to reformat..

So I had a COBOL project due today before 10:00am and yea...I have it done mind you. I just didn't get it turned in until 10:19...suppose she'll be uber bitch about the 19 minutes? Yea she will. We get to have Kevin next term in COBOL and that makes me excited.
I don't know what happened to kay. She was supposed to call me back, but she didn't.
I have to go to lunch with my mom here in about an hour and I thought she was coming out.
Our next mission? To pull streaming video off a site because everyone is stupid and won't rip the video. Damn people. I love the new Simple Plan song. It's harder than the stuff on their last album. That's good. Harder is better!! ;)

So this weekend began like any other weekend except I don't remember how that was so...yea. I don't know what happened to my memory. I DO remember that kay stayed all weekend.
I went to Iowa City, yes 1.5 hours away to return a pair of pants that I ordered online from Hottopic.com. Anyway, so I went there because I had called Thursday and asked if they would take them back and the EXACT quote from the lady on the phone (mind you from the same place I traveled to Sunday) said "If you have the pants, invoice, and all the tags are still attached. We can do whatever you want, in store credit, full refund or exchange." This of course made Laura a happy girl. So I made my merry way up to Iowa City ready to return my pants which are a funny story as well. Well we got up there and walked straight into the same Hot Topic I had called not but 3 days ago. I went up to the counter and said: "I have these pants I ordered....." then I was cut off by the chick "We don't do THAT here, call them." (side note: FUCK YOU BIATCH!!!) I, being the shy. don't-want-to-cause-a-scene girl I am said "okay" and went on my way. So now I have to call Hot Topic and tell them to send me a sticker that will take 2 weeks to get here and then send my pants back (another 2 weeks) then wait (11 months I swear) for another pair to arrive.

The story with these pants is: I'm not a big girl. So Korina and I measured my hips(that's where I wear my pants), because these are boy pants and I've never bought them before, and found it to be 38". So I said to myself. They don't have a 38 on here and I like 'em baggy so I'll get 40" BIIIIIGGG MISTAKE. They got here Friday and I went to try them on..no..they don't fit. Apparently I'm about a 34-36. Ok now that I'm looking at the pants I see they have now lowered the price $10.00 and they have size 38" now....grrrs Hot Topic is not on my good side lately.

Yet another post of me talking about Fall out boy. I just ordered thier cd "Take this to your grave" and it should be here Monday. I can't find the damn thing anywhere in town.
I know the drumkit I want. It's called a Pearl Rhythm Traveler. It's beautiful. Here's a link Soo sooo pretty. Kay wants a epiphone guitar. So Bill Gates, if you are reading this you can email me about buying that nice piece of equipment for a poor college student. I'm like thisclose to having enough money to buy it from that site. Makes me want to sob.
Finals are next week and I'm excited because the pressure of final projects are finally relieved and I have them turned in. Next term I need to go to my classes on a regular basis before I ruin my attendance and GPA. Someone kick me in the ass about this!!

Ok coming down to pressure time at school. That means we have finals next week. Exciting! I will no longer have to take Lab Fundamentals. That class can burn in hell for all I care. On to a full on programming degree I go...yet I really want my band to go somewhere...and I want to do web design.
If you don't know how to do web design and you stumble across someone that would like a site send them over to Flawless Designs and get in contact with either me or Korina and we will gladly do it for a small fee.
On a lighter note Warped Tour is shaping up quite nicely. Kay and I are going to be at the Chicago one...why? Because Simple Plan is being stupid and only doing a couple shows this year. Yeah, so we can't go to Wisconsin like we wanted to. AAANNNDD Fall out boy won't be at the warped we are going to so I really wanna check out their next Chicago show but that is the 20th of this month and I don't think enough planning could go into that...but hmmmmm...I just remembered that finals are monday and tuesday of next week and we have the rest of that week off. How exciting I might get to go to a Fall Out Boy concert anyway. Billy Talent will be at our Warped as well which is exciting because I absolutely love them. As will Motion City Soundtrack...they rock!!!! wHOOOOO!!!

Ok the last weekend was awesome. I had my MxPx/Simple Plan/Motion City Soundtrack/Sugarcult conert. It was awesome. I met a whole bunch of people. Out of Motion City Soundtrack I met: Tony (hottie drummer), Matt (cute little bassist), and Jesse(hottie keyboardist).
Out of Sugarcult I met Tim(swoon singer), Arin(bassist **adorable!**), & Marco 72(guitarist *kay is in love with him*)
Out of Simple Plan I FINALLY MET CHUCK! Omg! That boy is fine! I have a picture that I will it post soon. He was so nice. He had 10 minutes till he had to be on stage and he stopped signed our ticket and booklet and took a picture. He was so nice about it. I was trying to hurry so much I forgot to give him the bracelet I made. After such an eventful weekend...concert and touring around Chicago...I'm tried and going to recoup. The Fall Out Boy concert is coming up!! YAY! Check out Motion City Soundtrack. You'll love thier song The Future Freaks Me Out. Go buy thier cds, they are all great modest guys that need the positive support.

I was sitting at school waiting the friggin hour till my next class when I decided to go to www.matazone.uk and check out the new animations...hehe! I decided that he's entertained me for around 2 years so I thought I would donate all that a poor college student could afford so I paypaled him $2.00. Hope it helps. Mata rocks!!

I am finally watching this movie. After 8,000,002 people telling me that I should. I'm about 7 minutes into it. I'm going to loose all concentration on it when Korina gets to my house because were gonna play Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne over LAN. Wheeeee! I'm excited! I should go install the game on my desktop before she gets here. I'll be putting up the rest of the links under 'Other' sometime this weekend.

I am currently in the process of watching Mr. Wrong. This movie is funny and kinda scary. I'm enjoying my weekend so far thanks for asking. Everyone is out of the house today so I can practice my drums. I'm learning Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades by Brand New. I haven't found any drum tabs for it. Well, that are correct anyway. It's pretty easy to learn by ear so far. I'm 3/4 of the way done with it. I learned Until the Day I Die by Story of the Year a couple weekends ago. I'm a huge klutz on the drums right now.

Wow, ok... I finally got my own layout up and running. I made my own pages too. Yay me. Thanks to kay for the temporary layout. I got my Brand New site going. Here. I'm really proud of it. I need to see if this works. This so far is the only thing that hasn't. Which has made me a happy happy girl. On another note for later refrence I changed the stylesheet to go with this. So when Laura changes layouts she needs to go into the templates and change the stylesheet back to the other colors which she can get from me. You have no idea how many times I had to change stylesheet, i kept typing stylesheep!
